Isabel Hou
Deputy Minister Hou has been dedicated to advancing the role of AI in democratic, inclusive, and secure governance.
She currently oversees digital industry development, international digital cooperation, data governance, and innovative applications, while also serving as the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
Trained as a lawyer, she has worked at the intersection of law, technology, and public policy since 2000. Beyond government service, she previously chaired the g0v civic tech community and assisted in establishing the Taiwan AI Academy Foundation, promoting responsible AI and open digital ecosystems.
