Beatriz de Anchorena shares her perspectives on data governance main challenges, importance of international dialogue and cooperation, and the future of Council of Europe’s Convention 108+.
“I think Convention 108+ has a central role in shaping the global data protection landscape. In the first place because it’s the first legally binding international instrument in this field and it offers a platform for cooperation for all the continents. (…) We’re very close to enter into force. Convention 108+ would provide the common ground that we want to achieve every time we talk about international cooperation. It’s in our hands and I think we can achieve that common ground through Convention 108+.” Watch the whole interview below!
