Mr Davis shares his perspectives on the current regulatory landscape of AI, privacy and platform regulation — and the importance of applying privacy and data protection principles in the new AI world.

 “We cannot allow for privacy and data protection to be set aside. (…) It’s extremely important that there is a venue whereby different voices from multiple backgrounds can be brought together. And just going through the [Privacy Symposium] programme, you can see that (…) we have many people who are bringing different perspectives. I think that’s what’s unique about the privacy community. It welcomes everybody in. It wants to hear everyone’s perspective. (…) And having these kinds of forums where we can all speak openly with each other and arrive at mutually beneficial outcomes that maintain privacy is crucially important for the future.” Watch the whole interview below!
