Alexandra Delaney-Bhattacharya
Dr Alexandra Delaney-Bhattacharya has served as the Isle of Man’s Information Commissioner since September 2024. She brings strong experience in regulatory delivery, international engagement, and cross‑sector collaboration, with a career spanning senior roles at the UK Information Commissioner’s Office and the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum. Prior to entering the regulatory world, Alex worked in management consultancy, supporting clients in the UK and Switzerland.
Her current focus is on ensuring the Isle of Man remains aligned with global data‑protection standards, supporting organisations through clear advice and collaboration, and upholding the rights of the Island’s residents. She was appointed co-chair of the Common Thread Network (CTN) in 2025.
Alex holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and enjoys spending time at home in Laxey with her two fluffy cats.
