“If we place fundamental rights at the centre of how we approach things, we can’t go too far wrong. (…) We can see in the Global Privacy Assembly, more and more countries are adopting data protection authorities who are getting the levels of independence and funding, which they need. Data is becoming such a central part of the global economy.
