Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Warsaw, Poland (UODO) since January 26, 2024. Attorney at law.

 

A graduate in law and political science with a specialization in international relations, he has authored nearly 100 scholarly publications on constitutional, international, and European law, including especially data protection law, human rights protection law and law of new technologies. Prior to his current role, he was the Director of the Constitutional, International, and European Law Department at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights from 2007 to 2024. In 2025, he was honored with the title “Outstanding Personality of the Year – Law Visionary” recognizing his significant contributions to constitutional and European law, data protection, and human rights advocacy. He continues to engage with international and national institutions (in Europe and Asia), providing expertise on data protection and human rights issues. From March 2019 to 25 January 2024, he was a board member of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) and member of EU Fundamental Rights Agency in Vienna Management Board, Budget Committee and Executive Committee (2012-2017). He has been also a Chairman of the Human Rights Committee in the Polish Bar of Attorneys at Law (2021-2024). For 20 years he is lecturing at public and private universities and lawyer’s professional formation, especially post diploma studies for legal practitioners.
